Wow! It really happened and what a game changer it will be for the Las Vegas taxis!
Uber hits Nevada. What will happen to the taxi industry in Las Vegas. Will you be using Uber vs. the Taxis right outside the Hotels.? We think, maybe you will especially if they’re more friendly, which they tend to be, and if they are just as accessible. We can’t wait to see for ourselves! I feel a ‘Vegas trip coming on.

We tried it out and from UNLV to Downtown the rate is as shown below (approx. $10.84 vs. Uber’s $13-$17) that is if the rate calculator is accurate.
