A few months ago, Apple bought Beats Music and they are now partnering with Southwest Airlines to offer free in-flight streaming entertainment onboard Southwest planes that offer Wi-fi. In order for a traveler to take advantage of this free service, he or she must download the Beats App which is compatible with iOS, Android and most web browsers. There are curated playlists as well as a customized playlist maker which uses the listener’s feedback to generate an endless set of personalized tracks. And last but not least, some of the Southwest planes have a new Beats paint job including a pair of headphones painted around the cockpit!
