There has been a wide variety of street style trends that have surfaced over the past year. However, the pop art trend is proving to be the more notable trend as designers like Jeremy Scott, Prada and Prabal have executed the movement on their runways. Pop art pieces usually feature cartoons but these days, graffiti images, daring and colorful prints are being incorporated into the trend.

Pop Art is definitely one of those trends that most men might be hesitant to try because of the fear of looking too over the top as majority of men prefer to stick to neutral and darker colors which is understandable. I will say, when it comes to pop art pieces, execution is key and there is no in between. It can either be a glorious win or a dreadful fail. For people like me who do not easily adjust to such bold choices in clothes and are willing to try this new trend, I suggest starting with minimal pieces. An accessory would be your best bet because this way, it’s easy for you to take off the piece if you don’t like it while still maintaining a decent ensemble. It’s all about creating a balance. For example, with the purpose of adding a little color to what I would call an almost less than casual look; my pop art choice is a bandana. The point is if I took it off, I would be left with what most would consider a decent outfit. It’s simple and uncomplicated.
Artistic expertise is influencing fashion. Why not revel in it and have fun while it lasts?
